One of the most Beautiful parts of Florida...a lot of history here on the Suwannee River.

Great open space. Fort is gone but, still looked cool

There is no longer a fort here, so don't be fooled by the name. It does commemorate the old spot of a fort and is a beautiful wayside park though! The whole park area is well manicured and has paved trails. It goes right against the water and includes benches, historical placards, and remnants of buildings. Perfect place for a picnic.
