A beautiful natural park centered around a large pristine natural spring. Ample parking and attractively laid out, sloping walkways take you down to one of Florida's most beautiful swimming holes. Depths of the turquoise water vary but there are swimming areas for folks of all ages and skills. This is a noncommercial and easily accessible park frequented by locals and casual visitors alike. Simply developed and country quiet it features a wooden boardwalk trail that winds through wetlands of Cypress and trickling spring waters. One of my all time favorite places in Florida.

Lovely swimming spring well maintained tidy clean and well organised very comfortable here

Family's, groups, couple's or just single..this place will amaze ALL!!! Beautiful springs, two separate swimming areas, canoeing, kayaking, diving, picnic areas, grills on site, playground area for kids..you will see deer throughout the park!! I was able to hand feed them...take a walk on the long boardwalk, till it ends at the Suwanee river...Make an entire day of it or camp at the campground in a quaint cabin ( no TV's) , or in a tent..rates are reasonable and endless amount of pictures that you can take

Historic, friendly, fun site seeing, bird, snake and alligator watching. Boat ramp,rv campground and Natural spring swimming, tubing, canoeing, kayaking. Swimming, fishing and all water sports in The Historic World Famous Suwannee River. Awesome place. A MUST VISIT SPOT.

Beautiful spring and overall a beautiful park. The staff are always friendly. It can get busy in the summer sometimes especially late in the day. I actually go there to do water aerobics a lot, not just swim. At any spring in FL, you are going to see wildlife. Stay away from any snakes you might see and you should be fine. We love to snorkel there because the water is so beautiful and we enjoy looking at the fish. There are springs in the area that won't let you use a float. The swimming area is big enough at Fanning that you can use floats. I've seen boats come in on the riverside, then they come over the dock/barrier to swim in beautiful, clear, blue water. I believe that they also have cabins that you can stay in but I've never been inside of one. There's also some pavilions around to eat at and a nice little play ground (with swings, slide, etc) for when your kids are bored in the water.
